L’Ormarins Queens Plate 1

Un bonito día con caballos, moda, diseño y mucho estilo.

Para conocer la moda de Sudáfrica, mi pareja me sorprende con unas entradas para ir a ver las carreras de caballos, L’Ormarins Queens Plate en Kenilworth en Cape Town.

Hace más de 150 años que se celebran estas carreras y podríamos decir que, éste es el evento del año. Un evento que permite disfrutar a los aficionados de los caballos de carreras durante todo el día y a realizar sus mejores apuestas. ¡¡¡Alucinante la cantidad de dinero que se puede llegar a apostar por un caballo!!! Sólo comentaros que el ganador de la carrera gana 100.000€.

No dejar de decir que, como en todos los sitios, acaba convirtiéndose en un gran evento social, ambientado, animado, con mucha moda, glamour, gente chic y en un entorno precioso. Un evento de todo el día y que acaba por la noche con los mejores Dj’s del momento de Sudáfrica.

A beautiful day with the horses, fashion, design and a variety of styles.

To learn a little more of the South African fashions and design, along with just a fun day out, my boyfriend had invited me to go to Races, L’Ormarins Queens Plate in Kenilworth Cape Town, one of the years biggest events and most stylish days for designers and buyers.

This event has been running for over 150 years and today hosts some of the most elite race horses, if you are interested in betting you have your chance to place on your favorite or simply have a cool cocktail at one of the various lounges. The main race holds a 1st prize of 100 000 euro.

Once the day has progressed and the late summer sun calls a thirst for a cold beverage, the guests are given some of the best dj’s and a impressive variety of performers to ease into the evening accompanied the racers and organizers alike.
